My coastal work is inspired by a lifelong connection to the sea and the landscapes that shape both memory and emotion. I have always been drawn to the shifting light, changing tide, and quiet strength of the shoreline — places that feel both familiar and restorative. Through my paintings, I seek to capture not only the look of these places, but the feeling of being there: the calm, the movement, and the sense of space they bring.
Working with layered colour, texture, and mixed media, I create surfaces that invite the viewer to linger and look more closely. I am interested in making work that feels atmospheric and tactile, with enough depth to reward repeated viewing. Each painting is designed to bring a sense of calm and connection into a home, offering a small moment of escape to those who live with it.
This exhibition reflects my ongoing journey as an artist and my desire to share the beauty I find in coastal places. I hope these works speak to those who, like me, feel drawn to the sea — not just as a landscape to admire, but as something to carry with them. Whether collected as a single statement piece or as part of a growing collection, my coastal paintings are made to be lived with, enjoyed, and treasured.
