A printmaker, mixed-media artist and photographer based at BV Studios in Bristol, Jonathan’s work includes screenprints, alternative-process photography, collage and acrylic painting.
Jonathan enjoys the expressive freedom of abstract monoprinting, overlaying this with graphic elements in metallic foil. His screenprints often feature architecture and he has a particular love of brutalism and brutalist-adjacent buildings. He uses photographic emulsion extracted from Polaroids, reclaimed Polaroid negatives and cyanotpes (blueprints). Many of these techniques are combined in his mixed-media works on canvas which are inspired by his thoughts about personal experience and his place in the world. He loves gold!
