I am a contemporary artist whose practice explores the layered histories and enduring beauty of coastal life, with a particular focus on boats as symbols of resilience, memory and journeys. Growing up in Cornwall, I have always felt a deep connection to the sea, which continues to inspire the colours, textures and subjects of my work.
Working in acrylic paint and sometimes combined with handmade collage, I create richly textured surfaces that evoke the weathered qualities of vessels long exposed to the elements. Alongside these works, I also paint abstract sailing boats in races and regattas, using bold colour and energetic brushstrokes to capture the drama, movement, and vitality of the sea and sky in motion.
