Kate Edmunds

“For me, the real excitement of landscape painting comes when I’m inspired to create an impression of what I see, rather than a more literal view. Working mainly en plein air, and using swift, swirling brush stokes, marks and patterns, bright colours and contrasts, I aim to create something the viewer can complete in their own mind, perhaps with different interpretations on each viewing.”

Kate Edmunds is an Emmy award winning designer and an accomplished painter, working in Bristol England. Her landscapes are impressionist in style, and use oils and mixed media on paper and canvas. Kate studied Design at Kingston University (1989- 92). After several years as a TV graphic designer, she founded her own design company, Eggnogg, in 2009.

Kate has exhibited in many galleries including the Royal West of England Academy (RWA), Mall Galleries, OXO Wharf, Centre Space and the Create Centre.
