I am a photographer, teacher of photography and occasional gallery technician; my art practice is largely landscape based, and I like to exhibit regularly.
I have an ongoing interest in the traces of people on the landscape, not so much in the destructive sense but where it is managed for recreation or access for example. I am also intrigued by the way in which the camera, as a machine, makes a faithful recording of what is in front of of it, yet to some degree this is always a distortion of the way we experience the world.
I keep a foot firmly in both the analogue and digital photographic worlds.
