I’m Gemma McLaughlin, a Bristol based artist also known as ‘White Venice’. Art has always been a big part of my life throughout the years, whether it’s sketching, photography, fashion design or painting. I’m always up for trying something new to push my creativity. In the last few years, I’ve challenged myself with painting water and clouds using acrylic and watercolour, creating my ‘Ocean Collection’ using photos I’ve taken on my travels as inspiration for my work. The ocean and sky feel so unlimited to what you can do with colour, texture and atmosphere that I’m always finding new ways to expand on my seascapes. I love the moody dark skies and powerful waves just as much as the peaceful calm sunsets. I hope you do too!
