Melanie is a lino printer based in Bristol. Trained as an Illustrator she has been carving out lino hares, cats, dancing dogs, plants and otters ever since.
Melanie’s printmaking is based on drawings – the images filled with humour, joy and positive energy. The subject matter is largely nature based, plants and animals but also people and places feature.
The lino prints are hand burnished on the back of the paper with a boxwood burnishing tool to create a print – usually on local Somerset Satin paper and in limited editions.
