Influenced by abstraction, symbols and occultism, Suzi Bratt tells stories exploring identity, perception and control. She’s interested in the way information is transmitted and the perception of the “real”, as well as more intimate topics of grief and nostalgia. Her colourful work includes writing, painting, photography, sculpture and digital media. Her ongoing research haunts the wet sands and decaying glitz of British seaside towns and tourist attractions, examining the layers of identities and otherworldly stories that exist between the flashing lights and boardwalk planks. Recent exhibitions include CAP Cinema for Tate Lates: Sonic Disruption and RCA2024. She was shortlisted for New Contemporaries 2024 and recently became a resident of the Pervasive Media Studio, Bristol.
