Lizzie Mae Smith

I am a Somerset based mixed media artist. My work is rooted in the desire to capture the movement, energy, beauty and chaos of both the natural world and the imagination. My creative process is a response to how I view and make sense of the complexities of the world around me. I love playing with colours, I enjoy exploring scale in unusual ways and creating pattern and order from chaotic mark making. My images invite the viewer to take the opportunity of responding to it in their own individual way, to look into the kaleidoscope of nature and imagination and draw their own meaningful conclusions. I love insects and birds.
