Liane Stevenson is a professional artist living and working in North Somerset. She trained in Fine Art, sculpture at UWE. Her work divides into three main areas, portraiture, landscape, and work inspired by the natural world.
Liane’s interest in the natural world is really a celebration of the diversity of our fauna, and to highlight the current threat it finds itself under. Using primarily charcoal, tonal washes and collage, she investigates the sculptural elements found in the form of her subjects, angular shapes and rhythms within the body, but also attempting to capture the essence of the creature.
She enjoys the elements of pattern and texture provided by collage. She hopes to inspire her viewers to enjoy and conserve our environment.
