Elaine is a Bristol-based artist working from a studio near her home on the outskirts of the city. The surrounding countryside and views of Bristol are an endless source of inspiration. She is fascinated by light and how it affects our emotional response to a subject. Some recent work focuses on Bristol, including the iconic Clifton Suspension Bridge at different times of day and light. She works in various mediums often incorporating gold and silver leaf reflecting the changing light of day. Having lived in Devon and Cornwall her work often explores sea and sky, inspired by the ever-changing energy, movement and colours.
Elaine has held several solo shows and exhibited in galleries in London, Bristol, Bath and Devon.
