David returns to North Street Gallery with a selection of pieces created and inspired by South Wales and the Welsh writer Dylan Thomas; his picturesque boathouse where he wrote and the Browns Hotel he frequented so often that he used the pub’s phone number for his own.

David’s strong illustrative instinct spontaneously fluctuates between strong confident detailed lines to light, free flowing and almost animated textures. His style resonates with poetry; Thomas’ Romanticism, with its particular emphasis on imagination, emotion, intuition, spontaneity, and organic form. David has included Swansea’s 12th Century Oystermouth Castle in this set of images as a historic backdrop to the Welsh purview.

David signs originals on the reverse particularly on smaller pieces.
