All my work begins with drawing, I like to combine sharp detailed drawings with gestural marks and found photographic ephemera. I’m interested in narrative and story telling and try to make surprising, sometimes humorous or alarming images by combining mundane objects and environments with exotic creatures and characters. I like to pin point a specific moment in time and am often drawn to objects from my childhood.
My other passion is colour, in my screen prints and paintings I use specific colour to evoke mood and a sense of place. I’ve been working as a print maker and illustrator since 2007, when I graduated from my MA (Central Saint Martins, Illustration pathway, Distinction). I have been making limited edition screenprints and illustrations for a variety of galleries, companies and corporate and domestic clients including The Guardian, Polydor Records, Heals and Selfridges.
