I am a printmaker at Spike Island and have been a member since 2005. I studied Illustration at the then Exeter coillege of art and design and learnt of this relief printing technique whilst studying in Belgium on the Erasmus exchange programme.
Lino has a rythmic appeal which lends istelf well to some of the linear imagery found in landscape and potraiture and I enjoy copying scenes around Bristol and Bath. My work takes me to Clifton Suspension bridge, Bristol cathedral and even Bath Abbey which is a fascinating aspect of the work I produce and enabled me to use preliminary work with my sketchbook and camera. My art parctice is an importnat and enjoyable part of my life in Bristol.
