Kathryn is an oil painter. She enjoys experimenting with various colours, textures, and layers of oil paint. Kathryn graduated from Bath Spa University with a degree in Fine Art in 2013, and currently lives in Bristol and works at her studio at In Bristol Studios. Born and raised by the Cornish Coast of St Ives, Kathryn’s paintings undoubtably portray elements, memories and experiences influenced by the landscape of her homeland. Her paintings also evoke a sense of mystery and imagination. The paintings are constructions of playful, impulsive and improvised processes of colour. They explore the physical and performative nature of the act of painting.
