Originally from Plymouth, the source of Keiths work is mainly landscape, from observation but  also memory and experiences. He now lives in Somerset and works from his studio.  Keith works intuitively to try to find a balance between various elements of texture, movement and geometry found within the landscape.

Some can be representational although often he reflects on the emotional response to the natural environment which can lead into abstraction.

Ranging from textures on rocks, the elements and how light reflects on water are some of the themes in his paintings.

By using layers of colour, underlayerings of paint and blocking out shapes,  this helps create the textures and movement he wishes to capture.

Initially Keith allows himself to be led by the paint and the marks, then later takes control of the materials, refining as it develops.
