It’s the versatility of my chosen medium that most interests me. Oil sticks offer the opportunity to simply draw in paint. When mixed with turpentine, a great deal of surface transparency is possible which is what I aim to achieve. The layering of colour can also produce exciting results.
My present work is focused mainly on my interpretation of landscape, both rural and urban. Other than trying to create a mood in my images, I have little to add.
If my pictures are able to speak for themselves and give the viewer pleasure I am more than happy.
